6 spring jackets you won’t want (or need) to take off

Of all the seasons, spring is the most notoriously unpredictable. One day you’re warm and dry, the next you’re caught in a drizzle, sometimes you get both before the day is out. It’s why we keep coming back to the lightweight jacket when building our spring wardrobe. You can easily go from inside to outdoors and back without the delayering dance. Pair the looser, relaxed fit with a seasonal fabric and you can add anything underneath too.

With relaxed tailoring settling in as a staple, we’ve been steadily expanding our lightweight jacket range and this season we’ve introduced an extra casual closure: the zipper with snap buttons. You can get a run down of each of the styles here. There’s a few to choose from plus even more fabrics and sartorial details to sort through, so we wanted to highlight our top combos for spring.

1. Water-repellent athleisure jacket

Particularly great for those spring showers we were talking about, this lightweight jacket couples our new zipper with pockets hidden in the side seam for a tailored sportive look. Craft it in any of the new water-repellent peach skin fabrics from Belseta and you’ve got a soft sleek layer that will protect you from the elements.

2. Faux suede zipper jacket

Another jacket with our new zip closure, but a little more versatile thanks to the navy blue hue. The bellow pockets on the side create a modernized utility look. It’s a style that works well with an added dimension of texture. Enter: this faux suede. It’s just as soft as the real thing with excellent drape and animal-friendly appeal.

3. Classic khaki utility jacket

An elegant and breathable utility look, this 5 button lightweight jacket with utility patch pockets is a definite asset for your relaxed occasions and weekend affairs. The stretchy wool-linen blend in light khaki has just a hint of micro-structure giving you that classic ‘summer’ nonchalance with textured coolness. A top pick for sunny days.

4. Denim-look safari jacket

One for the concrete jungle, this safari jacket with 4 practical pockets is functional layering at its finest. We crafted it in a special denim-look fabric for a casual vibe with everyday versatility. The best part? 5. 3-button plaid jacket

This one is a relaxed spin on a classic. The combo of a 3-button silhouette and cool blue plaid in a breathable wool and linen sets you up for max wearability – lending itself to work as a whole lightweight suit for the office that can then be mixed and matched with chinos to go casual.

6. Summer suit jacket

The 2.5 button style is basically our traditional jacket with a more relaxed fit. Pair it with this light taupe windowpane (or any other classic pattern) in a summer blend and you get a sports jacket that’s made for warm weather. Crisp and breathable, it’s just as wearable as a full lightweight suit or as a jacket with denim.
