About our products
What is Atelier Munro?

We’re an Amsterdam-based brand creating quality made-to-measure clothing you design down to the last detail. Every piece is crafted with quality fabrics from the finest mills and responsibly made to order. From your everyday wardrobe to formal attire, with a wide range of products. What does ‘made-to-measure’ mean, exactly?

Made-to-measure is exactly as it sounds. Rather than something off the rack, we make your clothes to order and to your measurements. However, we go beyond the tailoring you might expect. We tailor the clothes to your body, but we also let you design to your taste. You choose a base style of product, say a suit or jeans or sneakers, and then you get to decide your item down to the last detail. The style, the fabric, the buttons, the details. What products do you offer?

Our range goes beyond the traditional tailored garments like suits, jackets, and trousers. You can create an entire wardrobe with us, head to toe, in just about any dress code. Formal black-tie event through to casual weekend wear for summer. We have a variety of styles of suits, waistcoats, coats, trousers, chinos, jeans, shirts, all kinds of knitwear, and shoes ranging from formal Oxford and Derby styles to loafers, sneakers, and boots. Do you plan to introduce new products?

We are constantly tweaking, developing, and expanding our range. We’re perfectionists, so usually only release one product at a time to ensure we’ve got it right before adding more. You can expect many new products to come! If there’s something in particular you’d like to see, we’d love to hear.

Are you sustainable?

We create high-quality garments that are made to order and made to last, avoiding overproduction, unsold waste and all the emissions that go with it. It’s already a much more responsible way to make clothing, but it’s not perfect yet. We have a 360-degree approach to reducing our impact on the world: environment, people, and animals. We work closely with consultants, Sustainalize, to continually reduce our ecological impact and partner with Fair Wear Foundation to ensure fair conditions and pay for our workers. Where are your garments made?

It depends on the garment. Currently, our items are produced in 10 different ateliers across Italy, India, and China. We only partner with trusted ateliers that can produce to our high standards of quality and working conditions. We work closely with each to continually improve sustainability and energy use of the individual ateliers, as well as working with Fair Wear Foundation to ensure our employees are treated fairly.

What kind of fabrics do you use?

We strongly believe in using natural, renewable materials over synthetic materials, which are not renewable. The main materials we use are natural: wool (virgin, recycled, cashmere, alpaca, and mohair) and cotton for garments, silk, linen, and hemp for accessories, leather and rubber for shoes.

Our high-quality fabrics are mainly sourced from Italy. We only work with the finest mills, including the likes of Loro Piana, Ferla, Zegna, Weba, and Thomas Mason. You can read all about our fabrics and our goals for the future on our

Are the prices listed on the website final prices?

All prices on our website are listed as a starting price for that item. The actual price of your item will depend on a number of factors: most importantly, the fabrics and design options you choose. That’s why we can’t quote the final price until you have chosen exactly what you want.

Where’s your online store?

We’re not your average clothing store. Our clothing is made to order and made to measure. One of the best things about us is that your clothing will fit your body and you can decide every detail. For that to happen, you first need to meet with an advisor to be measured and walked through all your options. A session with them allows you to try on samples and feel the fabrics or details to make sure they’re right for you too. You can do this at a store, at a location of your choice (we’ll come to you), or virtually. 

Of course, once you’ve been measured and have a better understanding of the way we work, you’ll receive an account and be able to reorder via our private store.

Where can I find Atelier Munro?

All around the world. Right now, you can experience us in Europe, North America, and South Korea. We have a flagship store in Amsterdam, as well as over 50 other retailer locations. Head to our stores page to see exactly where to find them.

How can I make an appointment?

Easy. Simply click ‘Book Appointment’ in the main menu or footer of this website. Once you’ve filled out the form with your preferred date and time along with your details, the store will review your request. We’ll strive to get back to you within 24 hours to either confirm your appointment or organize another date and time that works with your schedule.

How long will my garment take to arrive?

This depends on what exactly you order and shipping times to your local retailer’s location, but in general your item(s) will be ready to pick up in the shop in 3-5 weeks.
