“A place to call your own” is a phrase that means many things. For artists, having their own studio or space to create means the world. As for us, serving as the backdrop for our Fall/Winter campaign, their studios mean sheer excitement. It’s always a special experience to be in a place with its own specific energy and atmosphere, and if we allow ourselves to say so – soul. Let us introduce you to these three vibrant places of intimacy and the relentless pursuit of authenticity and craftsmanship.
Jasper Krabbé’s atelier
Located on the outskirts of Amsterdam, Jasper’s studio is spacious yet intimate because it’s built with the human dimension in mind. Constructed of wood, with a monumental roof ridge containing three skylights, on a clear day, daylight fills the space with soothing, evenly distributed rays of light. The wood glows and it feels like you’re in the hold of a ship. It’s here that Jasper continues to find new ways to explore his craft and artistry.
Adam Markovic’s studio
Built along the Niagara River in Canada, just minutes away from the famous Niagara Falls, there stands a beautiful brick building. It’s an old schoolhouse that was built on the site of an important battle in Canadian-American history and so it is surrounded by lots of energy. Adam has painted in many different studios but has always been searching for the right one. Finally, after thirty years, he found a place to call his own. He’s at home in his studio and it is here that he finally feels he starts to reach his full potential as an artist.
Artist’s loft
Once home to Richard Gere and the Dalai Lama, this New York artist’s loft is now used as a residence for an ever-changing roster of creatives. Located in the heart of Greenwich Village, the two-level space is immaculately designed with the art of many featured throughout the open and welcoming space. An ideal place to capture our American style advisor’s own creations.

We welcomed our newest Atelier Munro House to the city of Rotterdam. Our largest yet, it marks the second flagship store in the Netherlands and fourth flagship store worldwide. Despite being a vast space boasting two storeys, the space bears all the same warmth and homeliness of our other locations. A shop meets showroom meets café where you can be inspired, guided and, of course, experience the ultimate tailoring service.
