Read moreIf you read our last issue, you know we have the range to create all the archetypical knits. Now we’ve taken you through our favorites for workwear, we wanted to explore the less-obvious styles you can create. We’ve put together some pieces that have the power to stand alone as the hero in your ensemble and still work nicely as functional layering pieces. Check them out to get inspired for your own wardrobe.
Long-sleeve silk-cashmere polo
For a whole lot of wearability, we love a lighter polo with long sleeves. In a silk-cashmere blend, you’ll get a sophisticated look. It’s soft with a hint of shine and a drape that will always read as luxurious.
In a regular fit, it’s a classically preppy essential. Oversized, it’s a more modern rugby-style piece. Either way, you’ll have a relaxed extra layer that looks great under your jacket.
Ribbed full-button wool-cashmere sweater
A little texture goes a long way in adding character to your knitwear. We’ve introduced the English rib option for a refined-yet-robust piece. It’s available in both the wool-cashmere and pure cashmere qualities, with the latter creating an even thicker look.
This piece is an elevated take on the grandfather cardigan, switching out the classic cable knit for a more contemporary texture. This full-button closure has a little more classic look than your full-zip sweater and will give you extra coverage and coziness too.
Sleeveless zipper knit
A sleeveless style you can wear year round, however we particularly like this knit for transitional times and unpredictable weather. The silhouette and pockets give it a more casual look, ideal to pop under a lightweight jacket as an extra layer when you need a little more warmth (but nothing too crazy) – easily unzip or take it off completely when you’re feeling hot. In the warmer months, it’s a strong look as a stand alone layer, over say our merino t-shirt knit. We recommend crafting it in our extra fine merino wool as it’s durable and breathable enough for all season and everyday use.
Color cashmere zip polo
A thick pop color polo has our vote for most versatile with a distinct style. In soft double-ply cashmere, our warmest option possible, it works well on fall days as its own modern key piece, while also making an ideal layer under your suit or jacket when things get really cold. This rich shade of moss green will draw the eye and still pair with almost everything – from your lighter naturals to black, navys, and grays.

Luxurious, lustrous velvet. Say the word and the essence of the fabric will reveal something of its nature to you instantly. Vel-vet. Soft and alluring like a whisper. It simply has that mood of having all the trimmings. No wonder we see more and more people eager to wear it, especially as the festive season draws near.
