A week of celebrations for our new flagship

A week of celebrations for our new flagship

Last month, we opened our three floors and 3,000sq. ft of made-to-measure in the heart of Toronto. The House of Atelier Munro is our first flagship store in Canada, so to mark the massive milestone we celebrated with a week of festivities and special guests.

Wednesday

Things kicked off with a special tour for some of our favorite North Americans, Blamo! podcast host Jeremy Kirkland, and film directors Clement Virgo and Al Mukadam. NHL’s Mark Giordano even made an appearance in a suave blue Solaro suit. Our special guests got to enjoy live embroidering as their pocket squares were personalized with their names or initials. Also on the menu were Michelin-star eats from Yorkville locals ALO and wines from Southbrook Organic Vineyards, including our limited-edition orange wine. Winemaker Bill was on hand to share all about organic grape-growing and his love of the craft. We could hear him talk about wild fermentation all day. If you missed it, you can read up here.

Thursday

Another day, another party. This time, we went big. A huge store event with over 150 joining us to celebrate. The music was pumping with style advisor Kevin Tran behind the DJ booth. Drinks were flowing courtesy of our style advisor Vince Fazzari’s friend and bartender, DJ Vanacker. The mixologist from Toronto created a special suite of signature cocktails for the event. We’ll be taking the recipe for the Espresso Venti home for sure. Our highlight of the night had to be the food. Coming with high praise from Mark Giordano as his favorite place in the city to celebrate, Italian restaurant NODO catered the event.

Friday

Shaking off any dustiness after Thursday’s festivities, we were in the store early to meet Devo Brown. The Breakfast Television host was there to chat to our Store Lead Domenic all about what to wear this winter. Missed the segment? Check it out below.

Saturday
To finish the week of celebrations, we wound down with an intimate event for family and friends of the brand. Southbrook returned with more delicious wine and style advisor Kevin was back to provide the tunes. We caught up with Domenic at the end of the night to get his take on the whirlwind of a week.

“We’re so happy with how it all went. It was fun! We couldn’t have asked for a better response. A lot of familiar faces, a lot of new ones too. We received so many positive comments and so many well wishes. Now it’s time to return to store life as normal, but we’re already looking forward to what is next. There’s a lot of good things coming soon.”

A huge thanks to all who helped us pull off such an incredible week and everyone who made it down to celebrate with us!
