Summer festival style with Danny Vera

Summer festival style with Danny Vera

After a quiet two years, live music is finally back. One man reveling in its return is Dutch artist Danny Vera – kicking off festival season by bringing his bold signature aesthetic to stages in The Netherlands and Belgium. We got together to discuss his style throughout the years and ask all about his latest exciting creations with Atelier Munro.

The musician premiered his latest custom look at Pinkpop, one of the longest running dedicated pop and rock music festivals in the world. Performing on the main stage with more than 50,000 eyes watching on. Crafted by us, Danny designed a double-breasted suit in pastel pink S100 wool – a color most fitting for the festival and looking particularly spectacular against the violet velvet backdrop that was created especially for this extraordinary show.

The piece is a homage to his greatest and lifelong inspiration, Elvis. Drawing from the late-fifties with a Las Vegas vibe that can be difficult to pull off – though Danny manages to do so with grace. According to him, it’s all about the details. A black shirt adds an edge. The double-breasted jacket and small accents elevate the pink suit away from costume into a look suitable for the main stage. You can read more about Danny’s life as an artist and inspirations in the full interview.
